Injectable Fillers

For the filling of skin and minor soft tissue irregularities, various filler substances are recommended. As this is a rapidly expanding field, new products are being introduced on an ongoing basis. Currently, a variety of specialized products that resemble collagen in form and function— one’s own fat, creamy calcium hydroxyapatite, hyaluronic acid gel, and poly-L-lactic acid gel products are utilized and injected under the skin to help restore a smoother texture by plumping up creases and other sunken areas of the face.
