The office is normally open between 8am and 6pm, Monday through Friday, and between 9am and noon on Saturdays. Frequently Dr. Terrasse arranges earlier morning or later evening hours to help accommodate patients with special needs or requirements. In order to keep the schedule as flexible as possible for patients and their families, each day he allows time for surgery as well as for evaluating new and existing patients. Our Erase MediSpa also has flexible and convenient hours.
Dr. Terrasse and his staff strive to maintain a friendly, yet professional rapport with his patients by mixing education and humor with attention to detail and careful technique. Dr. Terrasse’s patients receive his full personal attention beginning with their initial pre-operative evaluation and discussion, through surgery, and in all post-operative care. His practice offers complimentary skin care evaluations by our licensed medical aestheticians as well as a full scope of the newest effective skin care products and FDA-cleared treatment options. Computer imaging is also available and used in reviewing potential treatments and for surgical planning.
Through our skin care and technology center, Erase MediSpa, under Dr. Terrasse’s supervision, our licensed aestheticians offer a full spectrum of services. These services include skin evaluations, skin care products, facials, microdermabrasion, micropeels, waxing, and counseling on make-up application. We offer CoolSculpting by Zeltiq for non-surgical fat reduction and body shaping and radiofrequency skin tightening and cellulite reduction with the Venus system. Our Harmony Laser also provides a multitude of excellent options for skin enhancement, tightening and rejuvenation, treatment of vascular lesions and hyperpigmentation, and for tattoo lightening.

Dr. Terrasse will give you both verbal and written instructions pertaining to your specific surgical procedure. These will include where and when to arrive prior to your procedure, what to bring, what to leave at home, whom to have accompany you, estimates of time needed, and medications to take pre-operatively as well as medications and products to avoid prior to your operation. In general, he will ask you to avoid any potentially blood-thinning agents such as aspirin, Bufferin, Motrin, Advil, and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications, herbs, fish-oil, high dose vitamins and other products that may affect healing. In addition, patients are reminded that smoking is not only detrimental to one’s overall health, but it can cause significant surgical wound healing problems. You will also be given reminders about preoperative diet restrictions if there are any.
Dr. Terrasse is on the staff of multiple excellent and fully accredited hospitals and outpatient surgical centers including Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital, Highland Park Hospital, Evanston Hospital, Glenbrook Hospital, Advocate Condell Medical Center, Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, Shriners Hospital, and HealthSouth Surgical Center in Vernon Hills and Golf Surgery Center in Des Plaines. Prescriptions for post-operative control of discomfort are either given to you in advance or called in to the pharmacy of your choice and in certain situations, Dr. Terrasse may even utilize a post-operative pain control pump for maximum comfort.
Payment for services rendered as an office procedure are due at the time of service. Fees for aesthetic surgery are due 2 weeks before surgery to properly reserve the operative time for you.
