Body Lifts (Thigh/Buttock/Arm)
Frequently performed after significant weight loss, body-part lifting involves the removal of extra skin and fatty tissue through procedures designed to improve contours while hiding the necessary incisions in the best locations possible. These procedures are most commonly performed under general anesthesia and may require a short hospital stay. Lifts of this nature are necessary when the skin no longer has its original resiliency and smoothness and has lost significant elasticity and when the removal of fat alone (such as with liposuction) would result in very wavy and rippling skin contours. The trade-off with these types of operations is a longer surgical mark for a more pleasing overall shape and form. Body lifts are individualized to the specific problem area and recovery periods vary accordingly.

Breast Enlargement (Augmentation)
When a woman desires a fuller, more feminine shape to her breasts, whether it is after pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight loss, or because of the way she developed naturally, breast augmentation procedures can restore an attractive and fit figure. Saline implants (and in some cases, silicone implants) are placed either under the breast tissue or partly under the chest muscle at the level of the breast to help achieve a natural, though fuller contour. General anesthesia or deep sedation can be utilized for this outpatient procedure. Various improved methods of post-surgical discomfort control are utilized to allow for a smooth recovery and quicker return to normal activity.

Breast Lift (Mastopexy)
Sometimes after pregnancy, nursing, weight loss, or with advancing age, the breasts lose their shape and firmness and begin to sag. It may become necessary to rearrange and tighten the skin of the breast in order to give it proper shape. This can be accomplished with or without breast implants depending on the amount of fullness a woman is trying to achieve. Such outpatient procedures, sometimes under local anesthesia and sedation, can be utilized to restore a lovely feminine breast form with minimal downtime. The nipple frequently needs to be shifted upward and the extra skin at the lower portion of the breast removed or rearranged.

Breast Reconstruction
The recreation of a women’s breast can be offered as an option either at the time of a mastectomy or lumpectomy or even months or years later depending on the circumstances. Some of the procedures utilized involve the use of a saline expander that helps stretch the remaining tissue to allow for a nice sized and shaped saline or silicone implant at a second procedure. Other techniques involve moving tissue from one area of the body to the breast area. Most breast reconstruction involves a series of procedures. Specific recommendations are based on the woman’s overall health, body and breast shape, and personal desires. Recovery times and hospital stays also depend on the options chosen. Nipple reconstruction can be done as a finishing touch. The goal is to create a breast that is close in form and appearance to match a natural breast. Often the opposite breast is refined as well to help with symmetry.

Breast Reduction
Many women suffer from back, shoulder, neck, and breast pain and irritating rashes from their breasts that are too large for their overall stature. By repositioning the nipple to a better location and removing extra breast tissue and skin, a woman’s breast can be reshaped and resized to better match her proportions and her ideals. An outpatient procedure with an overnight stay, breast reduction surgery may be covered by insurance if medical conditions warrant it.

Liposuction
Various techniques of fat removal can be utilized to improve the shape of the abdomen, hips, thighs, buttock area, chin and neck line, and even the breasts, upper arms, calves, and knees, when fat in these areas is resistant to diet and exercise. These techniques involve the careful aspiration of fat through slim, hollow tubing specially designed to minimize trauma to the surrounding tissue and skin. Once the internal contours are improved, compression garments are used to help the skin contract uniformly and smoothly. These outpatient procedures are commonly done under sedation and require minimal lost time from activities and social events.

Male Chest Reshaping/Reduction
Men whose chest shape has taken on a more feminine appearance (gynecomastia) by the presence of abnormal amounts of fat or breast tissue can benefit from liposuction and/or excision of this tissue. Outpatient procedures under local anesthesia with sedation can be used and small incisions hidden around the nipple or in nearby creases. The final result of a more masculine form to the upper torso is achieved with the short term post-surgical use of a compression vest or T-shirt that helps shape the contour.

Facial Implants/Fat Grafting
Sometimes materials from other sources can be utilized for a range of purposes such as to smooth lines, fill defects, and augment the contours of the skin, face, and nose. Among the most common is the use of small silicone implants in the chin area or cheek bone area when more major bone surgery is not desired or indicated.

Nipple Refinement
Misshapened, excessively large, or inverted nipple tissue can be modified through minor surgery performed under local anesthesia. The nipple/areolar area can also be reconstructed in the case of a mastectomy or other trauma with the use of nearby skin and tissue.

Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty)
Redundant skin and fatty tissue can be removed from the abdomen and stomach muscles tightened to help restore an aesthetically pleasing midsection. Incisions necessary to remove unwanted tissue are placed in low, more easily concealed areas and the navel can be made to look more youthful. Frequently requiring an overnight stay in the hospital, these procedures are most commonly done under general anesthesia and can accomplish what years of exercise and weight control methods have not been able to achieve. Limited abdominoplasty procedures are an option for those individuals whose laxity is primarily below the navel.
